This is the official home page for GhostWriter by Ian Evans. GhostWriter is a textual substitution program to simplify the repetitive task of regenerating web pages or text files to reflect the latest changes in information that is stored in data files.
It has initially been designed as a companion program to Andy Keir's FreeWX Weather Station Monitoring Program and is distributed with configuration files to enable access to the almanac files generated by the program.

Samples
A sample of the output from GhostWriter can be found at Ian Evans's Weather Station History page. Also the Monthly and Annual extremes on the Rasmussen Weather page have been generated by GhostWriter.
Requirements
GhostWriter needs the relevant version of the Visual Basic V6 runtime files to be present on your computer. Most modern computers with a recent version of Windows will already have these. FreeWX also requires these runtime files and can install them for you.
